Oh my goodness what a week… summer holidays are finished and the kids are back to school.
My now 'not so little' Lillia started secondary school on Monday and I find myself not only wondering how the summer went so fast….but also, how the years have gone by so quickly and already she’s in big school and carving out her own path. And as delighted as I was to see her embrace this new chapter with grace and confidence, it really has been quite an emotional time for me… I’m not sure I’m quite as ready as she is for all these changes but I am incredibly proud all the same.
Talking of change, and with my recent holiday to California now a fading memory… I see the leaves on trees are already starting to change colour and although the weather has decided to extend us a few more days of glorious weather, I’m conscious that we will soon be swapping the summer evenings in the garden for the cosy nights on the sofa… it will be here before you know it!
